sheer the sheeple a little closer. it's like Luzerne County, PA, where politicians have taken a little here, a little there until graft was a way of life and the people terrified of saying anything because the cops got there share, as well, to make up for extra taxes to pay the graft. The FBI has been here two years and one said, "I never had people come up to me on the street just so they could thank me for arresting their friends and family." Ah, Pennsylvania, Land of Taxes and Dead Dreams...

Heh, someone on Twitter questioned the math on the infinity bit. Yes, there are potentially an infinite number of different fees a place could come up with -- they can always add a fee for a step between any two steps. Or add a fee to collect a fee (ad naseum).

He pointed out the total dollar amount would not be infinite. Didn't mean to suggest it would. There would be a finite (though possibly large) number of fees tacked onto any one bill leading to a finite (though possibly large) total dollar amount. :-P

(Or, in the case of my long distance bill, it's 100% fees -- which as a percentage of service (0) is, well, you know what happens when you divide by zero.)
