Win $1,000! Writing Contest

Postby crit24362 » Thu Apr 07, 2011 2:07 am

Hi Critters,

I am a Critters member and an editorial assistant at a literary journal called Copper Nickel. Copper Nickel is holding fiction and poetry contests, and we currently don’t have enough entries in either contest. I have seen a lot of good writing on Critters, and I know that you guys can rock these contests. Please enter.

Here are the details: http://www.copper-nickel.org/contest/

Is Copper-Nickel suitable for SF stories? It describes itself as a magazine of arts and literature. While Critters does have a literary workshop now, I don't think it gets very much traffic yet.

All types of fiction and poetry are allowed in the contest. Copper Nickel will publish sci-fi if it is well-written and interesting. In issue 15, we published a story that involves aliens. Last year’s winner of this contest wasn’t a sci-fi story, but the main character was a zombie researcher. So, we would love to consider your sci-fi and sci-fi-ish stories.
